Not-So-Me Paper Challenge – September 2009 (Challenge Corner) The votes are in for the Not-So-Me paper Challenge, and we have three winners. Sara Cook had the most votes from our customers/staff and is the First Place Winner. Sara won a $10.00 gift certificate to our ScrapHappy store. A tie for Second Place…..Jeanette Aviles & Maria Aldanese came in with the next highest vote count. These two each won a gift card to Sweet Connections Yogurt Shop.
Highlights – The one common thread throughout this challenge was that everyone had a similar reaction to their paper. (EEEEEEWAH!) Their creative minds went to work to try and make sense of this totally un-matching and/or non-related paper. It was quite interesting to see how creative each participant was with resolving this paper challenge. Verbatim Comments – “This challenge pushed me to think outside the box.” “I like putting unrelated things together, so it will be interesting to see what I come up with.” “It challenged my creativity to find the beauty in all things.” Key Learning – Stretch your scrapbooking skills to go beyond your own individual comfort zone. Don’t be hesitant to try a new technique. Select a piece of paper or an embellishment that is not necessarily your style and see if you can make it work. It usually does.
